How to use Da Dabba

Da Dabba is a marketplace platform connecting people with licensed kitchens cooking fresh, ready-to-eat meals — delivery and pickup, multi-cuisine.

    Access your profile

    Browser

    1. Open Da Dabba in your browser — Go to dadabba.com on any device — phone, tablet, or computer.
    2. Tap Sign in — Tap Sign in in the top corner.
    3. Log in with a magic link — Enter your email and tap Send Magic Link. Open the email we send you and tap the link — you'll be signed in automatically. No password needed.
    4. Or log in with Google — Prefer Google? On the same screen, tap Sign in with Google and pick your account.

    App

To sign in inside the installed app, use Sign in with Google. Most phones won't open magic links inside an installed PWA — the link opens in the browser instead, which signs you in there, not in the app.

    iPhone

    1. Open the site in Safari — Go to dadabba.com in Safari. Make sure you're in Safari itself, not an in-app browser.
    2. Tap the Share icon — Tap the Share icon at the bottom of Safari (the square with an up-arrow).
    3. Add to Home Screen — Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. The Da Dabba icon now lives on your home screen — tap it any time to open the app.

    Android

    1. Open the site in Chrome — Go to dadabba.com in Chrome.
    2. Open the menu — Tap the three-dot menu in the top right of Chrome.
    3. Install app — Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen), then tap Install. The Da Dabba icon now lives on your home screen — tap it any time to open the app.

    Download your menu & orders

    Orders

On your Orders page, every day can be saved as a printable PDF or an Excel spreadsheet — either as a per-customer packing slip or as a cooking list of totals to cook. Open the Orders page and tap a day to expand it: Today's Orders sits at the top, future days are under All Orders, and finished days are under Past & Delivered. Each day has two views with their own download buttons.

    By customer (packing slip)

The By customer view lists one block per customer, grouped by city and postal code — your packing and delivery sheet.

    1. Open a day and stay on By customer — Tap a day to expand it. The By customer view is already selected.
    2. Save as PDF — Tap the printer icon. Your device's print dialog opens — choose your printer to print on paper, or choose Save as PDF to keep it as a file.
    3. Download as Excel — Tap the spreadsheet icon next to the printer. An Excel file downloads with one row per dish, sorted by city and postal code — open it in Excel or Google Sheets to sort, filter, or keep it.

    Cooking list (totals)

The Inventory view rolls every order up into how much of each dish to cook — totals, not per customer.

    1. Switch to the Inventory view — With a day expanded, tap Inventory.
    2. Choose Combos or By dish — Use the Combos / By dish toggle. Combos keeps a meal under its combo name; By dish breaks each meal into its component dishes and adds them up with any standalone orders of the same dish.
    3. Save as PDF or Excel — Tap the printer icon for a one-page cooking sheet (choose Save as PDF in the print dialog), or the spreadsheet icon to download an Excel file showing each dish, the total quantity, and the customer breakdown.

    Receipt printer (80mm)

If you have a thermal receipt printer (like the Epson TM-T20III), you can print a day's orders as a narrow 80mm receipt — one block per customer with a tear line between orders, or the cooking list as a compact totals strip.

    1. Connect your receipt printer — Plug the printer into your computer by USB (or connect it to your network) and install its driver. Once set up, it appears in your device's print dialog like any other printer.
    2. Print a day's orders as a receipt — On the By customer view, tap the receipt icon next to the printer icon. In the print dialog, choose your receipt printer.
    3. Print the cooking list as a receipt — On the Inventory view, tap the receipt icon. The Combos / By dish toggle applies to the receipt too.

    Menu

Save your menu for any date range as a PDF — handy for sharing what you're cooking or posting it.

    1. Open your Calendar page — Go to your kitchen Calendar.
    2. Tap the printer icon — Tap the printer icon at the top of the calendar to open the Print Menu dialog.
    3. Choose a date range — Pick a From and To date for the menu you want, then tap Print.
    4. Save it as a PDF — In your device's print dialog, choose your printer to print on paper, or choose Save as PDF to keep it as a file.

    Add money to your wallet

    Browser

Your wallet is the cheapest way to pay — there's no per-order card fee. You top it up once with your card, then orders come straight out of your balance. The minimum top-up is $20.

    1. Open your Wallet page — Sign in, then go to your Wallet from the menu. You'll see your current balance at the top.
    2. Choose how much to add — Under Top Up via Card, tap one of the quick amounts ($50, $75, $100, $200) or type your own amount. The minimum is $20.
    3. Tap Pay with Card — Tap Pay with Card. You'll be taken to a secure payment page to enter your card details.
    4. Confirm and return — Once your payment goes through, you'll come back to your Wallet and your new balance will be ready to use. You'll also get a confirmation email.

    Create a meal pack

    Kitchen

A meal pack is a prepaid bundle of one dish — customers buy a set of meals up front and you get paid for the whole pack at once.

    1. Open your Menu — From your kitchen dashboard, go to Menu.
    2. Switch to Meal Packs — At the top of the Menu page, tap the Meal Packs view next to Menu.
    3. Tap New pack — Tap New pack to start building a prepaid bundle.
    4. Name it and pick the dish — Give the pack a name (for example, Student Weekly Pack), then search and pick the one dish every meal in the pack will be.
    5. Choose how it's available — Pick Regularly available if the dish is on your menu most days and the customer chooses which weekdays they want it. Pick Available sometimes if the dish only shows up now and then — the meal is used automatically whenever it lands on your calendar.
    6. Set the number of meals and the price — Enter how many meals are in the pack and your goods price. The screen shows what the customer sees (your price plus the 9% platform fee) and the price per meal.
    7. Create the pack — Tap Create pack. It now appears in your Meal Packs list, ready for customers to buy. Use the pencil to edit it or the trash to retire it later.

    Recolor your storefront

    Kitchen

Make your public page match your brand. You can set five colors — they recolor your storefront for everyone who visits it. Leave any color unset to keep the default.

    1. Open your Profile — From your dashboard, go to Profile and open the 'Storefront colors' section.
    2. Pick your colors — Tap the swatch next to each color to choose it: Primary (bands, buttons, accents), Page background, Card surface, Soft tint, and Text on background. Use Reset on any color to go back to the default.
    3. Save — Tap Save at the bottom of Profile. Open your public page (or refresh it) and your storefront now shows your chosen colors — bands, buttons, the Account and Follow buttons, and backgrounds all update.

    Use your meal pack

    Customer

A meal pack is a set of meals you've already paid for from one kitchen. Each meal is a credit you place on whatever days you want — schedule them, see them on your calendar, and cancel a day to get the credit back.

    1. See what you own — Go to My Kitchens to see each kitchen you have a tie to. For a meal pack it shows how many meals are eaten, how many are scheduled, and how many are still 'to schedule' (paid for but not yet placed on a day). Open My meal packs for the same counts per pack.
    2. Put a prepaid meal on a day — Open your Calendar and tap the + on the day you want, or tap the 'to schedule' badge on My Kitchens to jump there. On the day's page, tap 'Use a prepaid meal pack' near the top.
    3. Pick which pack (if you have more than one) — If only one of your packs can be used that day, the meal is added straight away. If more than one can, a small window opens listing each pack (the dish, the kitchen, and how many meals are left) — tap the one you want and it's placed on that day.
    4. Find it on your calendar — A scheduled prepaid meal shows on your calendar as a 'Prepaid:' tag on that day — separate from regular orders, because it's already paid. Nothing is charged when it's delivered.
    5. Cancel a day and get the credit back — Changed your mind about a day? Tap its 'Prepaid:' tag on the calendar and confirm. As long as it's before the kitchen's cutoff, that meal comes off the day and the credit returns to your pack to use on another day.

Add or edit a dish (with AI help)

    Kitchen

Add a new dish or edit an existing one from your menu — including using AI to write a description or generate a photo. AI generation is paid from your wallet ($0.01 per description, $0.10 per image).

    1. Open your menu — Go to Menu in the sidebar. Tap Add dish to create a new one, or tap an existing dish to edit it.
    2. Fill in the basics — Enter the dish name, type, price, and (optionally) a discounted price. Type the description yourself, or use the AI button described below.
    3. Write the description with AI (optional) — Tap the AI button next to Description. Edit the prompt if you like, then tap Generate. Review the result and tap Confirm to use it. Each description costs $0.01 from your wallet.
    4. Generate a photo with AI (optional) — Tap the AI button next to Photo. Edit the prompt if you like, then tap Generate. Review the image and tap Confirm to use it, or Regenerate for a new one (each generation costs $0.10 from your wallet). You can also upload your own photo instead.
    5. Where the AI cost comes from — AI generation is paid from your wallet. If you don't see the AI buttons, your wallet balance is below the cost — top up your wallet and they'll appear. Every charge shows in your wallet history, and image charges include a link to the photo.
    6. Set the portion size — For a single dish, enter the amount and unit (oz, g, ml, L, or pieces) — skip it if it doesn't apply. For a meal, you don't enter a portion; it shows automatically as a list of each dish's portion inside the meal.
    7. Save the dish — Tap Save. The dish appears on your menu, and any AI-generated photo is uploaded with it.
